Hi ya folks!
I just wanted to give you all an update on the ol’ hand O. It’s doing pretty good, but is general throbbing and gross looking – bandages came off today to clean it up for the first time since getting stitched up. I feel like flicking off my own finger and telling it to suck it up.
I’ve been taking pain meds and trying to get some things done, but I have to tell you, it’s been super slow going and since the numbing wore off it’s not been fun to do anything involving two hands – typing, knitting, drawing, etc.
Anyway, so it’s pretty much been two days of not much except some light brain storming and lay out. This really bothers me because Craft Leftovers Monthly is supposed to be going out the door on Friday and I know right now I’m going to be exactly two days short of getting it done so I’ve decided to send it out first thing on Monday morning instead of on Friday.
Once all the orders come in, I’ll send out an email to everyone who has subscribed about the weekend lay over.
I think I’m kind of pushing it trying to type so much, so I’m going to take tomorrow (and inadvertently today) off and I’ll be back on Friday with a rerelease of a few older patterns.
So how am I typing (was one of the questions in yesterday’s comments) – finger poking the keys – it’s sooooo slow! Haha. Thank you to everyone who left a comment yesterday. It really cheered me up :)
Anyway, I’m going to keep plugging away at things here and try to rest up my hand a bit. I’ll see you on Friday!
Happy Crafting!
Kristin
Oh my Kristin…I really hope you are feeling better and your finger got better after these stitches..
Lesson learned here…I hope you will be back in business soon! But stay away from the cutters for a little bit..right? Big get well wishes..PerachYafeh
Och, I’m so sorry to hear about your finger! I myself had an unfortunate mandolin incident (it is no longer a part of my kitchen implement brigade) a couple months ago – though I had no stitches as I plumb sliced off a teeny bit of my thumb. It’s mostly healed now, but I had underestimated how much I used my thumb …
Good healing!
