Living in an apartment can be pretty frustrating sometimes, mainly for those surface comforts. Beige. Loads of Beige. This project is for brightening up the kitchen a bit with a steam/splatter safe artwork.
I’m going to pick out 4 brightly colored tiles and figure out the mounting system this week, but I have officially finished the stencils for them. I’m pretty happy with the way they turned out.
I still can’t belive I forgot coffee in my first proposed list, thank you so much for reminding me! I’m going to go ahead and write up this project as a tutorial with the stencils provied, so I’m holding off posting the stencils tonight. The paint should be dry and the tiles should be hung by Friday no problem. Any ideas on how to mount them? I’m thinking a holder like the ones for decorative plates? maybe if they aren’t too expensive. I’m going to Lowe’s tomorrow to check out all the options as well as my garage to see if I have anything that will work. I thought I had tiles, but I forgot I passed them on because “I’ve had these for 3 years and haven’t used them, time to pass them on”. Which really, I’m okay with, they were used and that’s always good.
See you all tomorrow!
Kristin
For a no cost solution to tile/plate hangers, how about making them out of wire coathangers? With a pair of wirecutters, pliers and a few judicious cuts and bends, I’m sure it would be possible. And it would use up those nasty hangers that you get from the dry cleaners that just end up in a big tangled mess in the bottom of the wardrobe!
These are super, super cute!!
So cute!
As for ways to hang them, maybe try mirror mounting clips? Something like these: https://www.technologylk.com/__1496/CRL-Mirror-Mounting-Clips-and-Hangers.html
I think it will depend on how thick your tiles are though. Good luck!
i think this all depends upon Ur kitchen
Way to go sister!
