This weekend from pretty much Thursday on was such a bust in the studio wise. We have friends in town for another friend’s wedding and Jason was in the wedding party so we had dinner to go to and he had to go super early saturday and we didn’t get home until about 10 and he took days off this week that I wasn’t planning on so my studio time wasn’t as intense and productive as I had hoped. It was fun and good though. Things just have not been according to my work schedule, how dare they. Haha. Just another reason I would love to have an out of the home studio…. ahhh, some day :) I was thinking that I would get a ton done today. Nope. Totally exhausted. I’m not sure what it is but I just have not been on top of my game these past two weeks. I am just really tired all the time. I think I need more exercise or something. I gave in and took a nap and now I feel a million and one times better. Oh and drank about a pot of coffee too! Go iced coffee power!
Anyway, I didn’t want to leave you all hanging. I said I would see you on Friday and then didn’t show up to the craft party.
I did come across some neat stuff that I wanted to share:
Creativity 350 contast is going on right now, ” Use your creative skills for a good cause: to help stop global warming! By participating in the Creativity 350 challenge you can help creatively spread the word about what scientists and advocates are now calling the most important number on the planet: 350.” And it sounds like a ton of fun for sure. You should go check it out and enter. There are some great prizes to boot! Why is 350 the most important number on the planet? “350 is the red line for human beings, the most important number on the planet. The most recent science tells us that unless we can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million, we will cause huge and irreversible damage to the earth.” Find out more info on Craftster.org and go check out the 350 website. I’ve always had a soft spot for French Knots and I just loved Lee’s post over on ThreadBanger about using them for embellishing pillows. Super neat and cute and textured, I’m going to have to freshen up some of my pillows with some French Knots for sure.
And I’m pretty sure I found this on Craftzine, but I read about IndieFixx for the first time the other day and love it so much! You should all go check it out for sure. They have Tutorial Tuesdays too and they are really great, every tuesday, by different people and cover a variety of projects.
I’m going to focus on getting reset tonight (cleaning, sorting, mapping out a schedule or projects and things) and trying again for the monday wednesday friday schedule this week. I will get there, just give me a little time :) This no school no job thing is awesome, but it makes me feel like I have all the time in the world and I get these really unrealistic goals going on. Haha. I suppose I have only been out of college for two months. It will take time to get into a good routine that I will be able to maintain.
Oh and thank you so much to everyone who ordered clm this month! Holy cow wow, so many new and returning subscribers! I have my work cut out for me these next three days and it makes me so happy. Everyone’s subscriptions will be going out on Wednesday by 5pm. So start checking your mail box a week from tomorrow I would imagine. It can take 3-14 days depending if you are close or farther away, like New Zealand or Canada!
See you on the flip side folks!
