The latest and greatest issue of Craft Leftovers Monthly is now available in the shop! This month’s issue is all about the current cool down we are going through. I went out to the garage for my last bit of outdoor crafting this month to bring you projects that take advantage of the last few weeks of bearable weather. Use up some of that wood from your summer projects and build a shelter for a little bird. Learn how to dry and use gourds as all sorts of fun containers.
Su Mwamba who contributes often to CLM, talks about her process of creating and shares a great recipe for her own mulberry jam.
There is a cold snap coming, but not quite yet. For that in between time, make a lovely bulky crocheted scarflet and warm up your hands with some knitted capped gloves. I’ve always wanted a pair of these and I’m so happy to finally include them in my collection of winter wears.
Claire Chambers wrote up her favorite fall soup recipe for us. I made it this past weekend and what a treat! Delicious and warming for sure!
This issue I’m going to share with you a few tips of handling the ensuing holiday crafting with ease and grace. It’s the first installment of a three part series ending with the last issue of volume 2 (in December). I’ll take you through mapping out your projects and deciding who gets your handmade goodies. Next month, will be all about stress relief and finding time to recharge your own batteries as well as those you love. In the final month, December will be all about last minute treats and gifts you can make along with some fun inventive ideas for wrapping them.
There are quite a few other little treats in this issue–a coloring page, my favorite tutorials floating around the internet, and a hilarious edition of the Crafty Life by Fanie.
Craft Leftovers Monthly is superb handmade craft zine filled with projects, recipes, tips, stories, puzzles, and original ideas. It is 36 pages of crafty goodness printed on recycled paper.
