One of the main projects in Diane’s and my new ebook Card.Paper.Ribbon. is taking wadded-up wrapping paper and fusing it to cloth, and then sewing into wallets and bags.
For me, paint is a huge player in making my paper fused cloth. I love dripping it, mixing it, and adding it to the various layers of glue and paper, and in general, just having a great time playing with color. Like with this wallet:
I received a sample of DecoArt paints and used them for all the painterly projects I’ve been working on the last few months–including the wallet and clutch in Card.Paper.Ribbon.
ArtDeco has offered up the same sampler set I’ve been enjoying so much to you as a giveaway! Thanks, DecoArt! Everyone who purchases Card.Paper.Ribbon. between now and next Friday (February 12th, 11:59pm) will be entered in a drawing to receive one of three paint sets (three winners, each gets one set):
1. Metallics!
2. Americana Primaries!
3. Gloss Enamels!
DecoArt has been steadily building their website and it’s positively chock full of resources. It’s pretty fun to go look around and see what kind of projects they are working on with their paints.
Pick up a copy of Card.Paper.Ribbon and have a pretty good chance of getting a free set of these wonderful paints too! The perfect one two combo.
Happy crafting!
Kristin
What a cool giveaway. I’m looking forward to getting a copy of Card Paper Ribbon although I need to check my budget to see if I’ll be able to get it in time to enter the giveaway.
