I’ve worked hard to eat healthier, work out, and loose weight. I don’t want that to just get blown off when I hit my busy season. Turns out my friend is in the same place as me. We decided to get together every week or so to make healthy entrées […]
Mix Tape::Vol 10!
I am having such a Mix Tape Crush lately. I was lucky enough to get the last 3 issues of Mixed Tape in the last few weeks, the most recent being Vol 10 just yesterday afternoon. I love that it’s all about the little bits in life – or as […]

Apartment Redress::Vintage Lamp Rewire::Part I
Two factors motivate this next redress undertaking. One: reducing clutter – I love this lamp, but it’s been sitting in the corner for 1 year now. Two: I love this little lamp and was so sad when it fried out (fried me too for that matter). I want to rewire […]

In the Thrift Kitchen :: Hummus!
I love love love hummus. But I always have two issues with it: The brand I used to eat and love is no longer sold at my local supermarket and it’s expensive. Really expensive. Like $4 for one of those little tiny itty bitty containers.
Kit Combo Day!
Yesterday was kit making day. I was going to post about it last night but was freaking tired and wussed out, ha! Anyway, Jason helped me put together about 60+ yarn craft kits and I’m working on another 40 sewing kits and 20 paper kits (collage it and stitch n’ […]
ReDress :: Kitchen Stencil Color Spash Part II
Living in an apartment can be pretty frustrating sometimes, mainly for those surface comforts. Beige. Loads of Beige. This project is for brightening up the kitchen a bit with a steam/splatter safe artwork. I’m going to pick out 4 brightly colored tiles and figure out the mounting system this week, […]

Apartment ReDress::Kitchen Tile
Our Kitchen is pretty dull looking, from the floor to cabinets to to the ceiling. Dull. Straight up. There are some nice places to hang things, but I really don’t want to put anything paper or painting there. Or matted even because of the steam. You see there is this […]
Grandmas’ Plastic Canvas Treasure Trove
This weekend I started the daunting task of digging through the remaining few shelves of stuff at my folks house. I am resolved to go through at least a few boxes every time I visit. This weekend I made it through 3 shelves of “stuff”. You know how you move […]

Out and About Headwrap :: Free Sewing Quicky
I have been wearing around this head wrap I picked up at a thrift store all summer and every time I do Jason comments on how cute I look, which makes me think the head wrap is adding to the cuteness. Well, bright neon orange doesn’t match everything I wear, although that would be fun if it did, so I decided to make some more. I really like the size and shape of this head wrap because it ties so well in the back.
